Vlahovic and Juventus: Final break after long negotiations

The collaboration between Juventus and Dusan Vlahovic has come to an end. The break between the club and the Serbian attacker is now final, after a lengthy negotiation over a contract extension that never led to an agreement. According to Tuttosport, a remarkable statement from Vlahovic emerged during the negotiations: "Why should I be paid like David?".


The striker had demanded a salary of around €8 million per season, which is higher than the amount Jonathan David receives and also above the salary cap that Juventus has imposed on itself. The club has never offered more than 7 million euros per year and held on to this position until the last meeting on June 2.

Following the lack of an opening offer from the club and Vlahovic's belief that he could find better options elsewhere, he decided to end negotiations permanently. The split is now official, and the doors of the transfer market are opening for the Serbian striker, with several top European clubs closely monitoring his situation and ready to secure his signature.
