However, football fans in Italy can enjoy the Serie A stars who do participate in the competition. According to Football Italia, here are the ten most valuable players from the Italian top flight who will play in this year's World Cup.
The highest-rated player is Inter's Lautaro Martínez, who won another Serie A title this season and was the league's top scorer in 2025-26. Martínez won the World Cup with Argentina four years ago and his market value is currently €85 million.
This year, Lautaro will be joined by 21-year-old Nico Paz, who is valued at €80 million. Paz spent the past two seasons at Como, but looks set to return to Real Madrid this summer.
Third in this list is Kenan Yildiz of Juventus, also 21 years old, who is valued at €75 million by Transfermarkt. According to The Athletic, Arsenal have recently inquired about Yildiz's availability, but the Bianconeri are unwilling to consider bids for the Turkish star.
Milan's Rafael Leão, a Portuguese winger, is in fourth place.
