Napoli and Como are eyeing Liverpool striker Chiesa for €20 million

Liverpool are preparing for a major overhaul in attack this summer. The departure of club icon Mohamed Salah, whose contract expires at the end of June, appears imminent, leaving the club looking for new wingers. Various names are circulating at Anfield, including Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig), Bradley Barcola and Francisco Trincao as possible reinforcements.

In addition to Salah, Federico Chiesa also seems to be on his way to the exit. The Italian striker, who arrived at Liverpool in 2024, failed to become a regular under coach Arne Slot. With only two starting places in the Premier League, his contribution was limited. However, Chiesa, whose contract runs until 2028, is in the interest of Serie A clubs Napoli and Como, both active in the Champions League.


According to sources, Napoli and Como are keen to bring Chiesa back to Italy. Liverpool reportedly want a transfer fee of around €20 million for the Juventus-trained winger. If a permanent deal proves difficult, a rental structure with a mandatory option to purchase could possibly be a solution. Chiesa himself recently hinted in the Italian media that he is open to a return to his home country.

Liverpool paid a maximum of €12.5 million for Chiesa at the time. Due to the departure of Salah and possibly Chiesa, technical director Richard Hughes, together with Arne Slot, is desperately looking for new attacking impulses. Liverpool would prefer a permanent transfer for the Italian, but do not rule out a temporary solution if the clubs cannot reach a financial solution.
