2026 World Cup in the US: England fans shocked by food and drink prices at AT&T Stadium

English fans complain about 'extortionate prices' at AT&T Stadium around England v Croatia on June 17; FIFA says it has no role in price determination.

England supporters who have traveled to Arlington for the England - Croatia World Cup match on June 17 have been unpleasantly surprised by the prices for food and drinks at the AT&T Stadium. According to reporting from The Sun, a pint of imported beer (such as Stella Artois) costs $16.95 (€14.62), while a local beer (Budweiser or Michelob Ultra) costs $15.95 (€13.77).

In addition, an American pint is 473 ml – around 17% less than the usual British size of 591 ml. Fans using premium seating with seat service report that the mandatory 20% gratuity can lift the final price of a drink above £15 (€17.38).

The food is also well priced. A hot dog costs £6.66 (€7.72) and a burger £12.62 (€14.62). Even a regular 473ml bottle of water retails for £6.14 (€7.12). Visitors to the tournament say that in some cases this is three times higher than comparable prices in English pubs.

On social media, supporters speak of a 'rip off'. “No wonder they're called 'Dallas Cowboys'!” grumbles 38-year-old England fan John Edwards from Stafford. “The beer prices are just insane, but unfortunately it's not surprising with such a shabby world championship,” adds 67-year-old Simon Harris from Bridgnorth.

The World Football Association has stated that it has no involvement in setting the prices for food and drinks in the stadium.
