Manu Koné focuses on the 2026 World Cup, Roma focuses on the departure of Soulé and Dovbyk

Roma wants to sell Soule and Dovbyk, but has no concrete offers yet. Manu Koné will remain at Roma for the time being and focus on the 2026 World Cup.

Manu Koné has made it clear from America that he is not considering a transfer and is fully focused on the 2026 World Cup. In the run-up to the match between France and Senegal, the midfielder said in a press conference: "My future is the World Cup, it is my first major tournament. I want to fully concentrate on that and then we will see what the future brings."

Transfer expert Matteo Moretto confirmed Koné's situation in a video on Fabrizio Romano's channel: "Koné is still considered a possible leaving player at Roma, but first a club must come forward." Moretto further outlined the state of affairs in Roma's transfer market: "The club hopes to gain clarity more quickly about the departure of players such as Soulé and Dovbyk."

Soulé is in the interest of clubs from England, Spain and Turkey, but no concrete offers have been received so far. A possible return to Spain beckons for Ukrainian striker Dovbyk, with Villarreal mentioned as an interested party. In the coming weeks it will become clear whether Roma is effective in selling these players and whether Manu Koné can indeed work undisturbed towards a strong performance at the 2026 World Cup.
