Marc Cucurella on his way to Real Madrid: Enzo Fernández supports possible switch

Transfer activities at Real Madrid are in full swing this summer, especially since the arrival of José Mourinho as the new manager. After signing players such as Ibrahima Konaté, Denzel Dumfries and Bernardo Silva - although these purchases have not yet been officially confirmed - the club is now focusing on Marc Cucurella. The Spanish left back of Chelsea, who is currently active with Spain in the World Cup, is said to have reached an agreement with Real Madrid, according to the latest reports. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano even reported a 'Here we go', which usually indicates an early completion of a transfer.

The support from Enzo Fernández, Chelsea midfielder and Cucurella's teammate, is striking. Fernández, who is participating in the World Cup with Argentina, showed via Instagram that he supported his teammate's move to Real Madrid by 'liking' a message from Fabrizio Romano. The gesture has not gone unnoticed by fans, given the good relationship between Enzo and Cucurella at Chelsea and the close cooperation on the pitch.


Although Fernández's online response fuels the rumors, nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Real Madrid currently already has three left backs in the selection: Álvaro Carreras, Fran García and Ferland Mendy. Yet the club is in a vulnerable position, as Carreras lost his form in the second part of last season, García is likely to leave and Mendy is again struggling with a serious injury. This makes the arrival of Cucurella as reinforcement more than logical.

For the time being, both Chelsea and Real Madrid are waiting to make official statements. The coming days will show whether Cucurella will actually be seen in the white of Real Madrid in the new season.
